Mississauga's city centre has undergone significant development over the past 10 years, BUT it is missing the street life found in the urban core of other major cities. But change is coming that will bring the Urban Village to Mississauga's City Centre moving it towards an urban centre. Parkside Village is a 12 hectare project, designed and developed by Amacon.    Built in short blocks to encourage pedestrian traffic, there will be two areas dedicated to green space, for walking and biking, and one of which will be part of a corridor linking the community to the Mississauga Civic Centre.  Sidewalks throughout the village will be 10' to 12' wide but 30' at a focal point planned for café seating and as a local gathering point.  The first phase will include two 36 storey towers and one 40 storey storey tower.
